Main - Characters - Review

Animation - 10/10
Although it starts off with average quality, it gets better as the series progresses. It's pretty amazing since they have to make hundreds of fights. The backgrounds are pretty basic, which is a good thing. Complicated backgrounds would lead to complicated pieces of the background when [insert character here] gets pummeled into it. Oh, and it's almost always daytime. YAY for bright and sunny skies! ^^

Characters - 9/10
Ahh, the characters. Goku is consistent with his innocent nature. Despite the lack of major character development from the start of the series to the end, he's still an awesome guy. But enough about Goku. Most of you have at least heard about him anyway. The other characters are important too! Vegeta is probably the one who goes through the most changes. Chi-chi is hilarious, though somewhat realistic considering her role in the series. The rest, well, find out for yourself.

Music - 4/10
I wouldn't know much about the Japanese music, since I've seen most of the series in English. When they dubbed it they decided to make their own music for it. Most of it isn't that interesting. Your typical rock-ish type that goes along with action.

Plot - 9/10
Despite what you may have heard, this series is not "all action and no plot". Villians come, they beat them up. All the while they deal with people dying (by attempting to bring them back - usually succeeding). As with many series, the plot becomes very intriguing later on. I would say that the real fun starts with Cell. The dub barely has any gore, and they edit out all the bad language. The original, however, is full of blood and profanity. The only nudity is of Goku, and it's nothing obscene. It's just there to show you how innocent he is. The genre is action, but I don't think I have to tell you that.

Overall - 9/10
I love this series. It was the first anime that I downloaded online. I was hooked immediately. I recommend it to those who love action. Oh, I also recommend the subbed over dubbed.
